INTERNATIONAL CIBTAC/CIDESCO DAY COURSE

CIBTAC is the International Examination Bord reponsible for the education and training of Beauty Therapists worldwide. It has built up its reputation over 25 years and renowned for its high levels of training and strict quality control. There are now over 150 schhols in 18 countries accredited to offer the prestigious CIBTAC Awards.
Students sit a theoretical and practical examination to test their knowledge and skills and only those that satisfy the external examiner in every aspect will be awarded the CIBTAC Diploma. The pass rate for CIBTAC is 60%.


CIDESCO is the world's major international Beauty Therapy association. Founded in 1946 with its head office in Zurich, Switzerland, CIDESCO is represented in over 30 countries. The CIDESCO Diploma is the world's most prestigious qualification in the field of Aesthetics and Beauty Therapy. There are over 160 CIDESCO Schools around the world teaching to the internationally acclaimed CIDESCO standards leading to the CIDESCO DIPLOMA. The prestigious CIDESCO Diploma is awarded to students who have passed the CIDESCO examinations, both theory and practical and given proof of having gained at least 600 hours work experience in a Beauty Salon/Centre or Spa. The pass rate for CIDESCO is 70%.

 

Course Structure

The Full Time CIDESCO/CIBTAC Course runs from September to July (10 months). Students begin their training with the CIBTAC Beautician module. The examination for this is in January. The Body Therapy and Electrical Epilation modules are covered after this. These examinations are held in May. Once all three CIBTAC examinations have been completed, students begin the CIDESCO module of the course. The CIDESCO examination is taken in July. Students must have reached the required standard in all Three CIBTAC examinations and satisfy the school's criteria on suitability before being eligible to undertake the CIDESCO examinations.

The CIDESCO module of the course incorporates a Facial, Body and Written examination. Students must also produce

Students demonstrate a treatment of their choice on the day of examination from a range of Beauty Therapy subjects such as:

Project (Thesis)

Students are also required to write a project of at least 4000 words on a subject relevant to the study of Beauty Therapy. The purpose of this project is to give students the opportunity to use their knowledge, ability and creativity.
