I worked for Bronwyn Conroy for 7 years as her assistant. When I joined her I was not a therapist but she encouraged me to study at her training school. I undertook the Part Time CIBTAC Beautician and Electrolysis Course. The excellent tuition I received there and the experience I gained while working for her enabled me to join the Guinot Company. I am now their Manager for Ireland responsible for all sales and training. Without the thorough training I received at Bronwyn's school I feel sure I would not have been accepted by such a prestigious company.

Deciding to train at the Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School back in the seventies was a decision that shaped our future. Bronwyn Conroy's name was known to us as very high profile and we wanted the best. High standards and professionalism were drummed into us and to this day we expect from our own staff. We opened our first Buttercups salon in 1979 and went on to open several more. From there we branched into salon work wear and now have a large mail order business throughout Europe. Our latest venture is in the distribution of skin care products "Repechage" and "Nimue" and who knows where our next step will take us.

In 2004 I applied for the full time CIBTAC/CIDESCO Diploma Course and to my delight was accepted. I was told by Sherna that it would be a very tough year and that I would need to put a lot of time and work into my studies. She was not kidding, it was a tough year, it tested my mind, strength and commitment to what I wanted to achieve but I tell you it was worth it.
Having succeeded in getting my CIDESCO and CIBTAC Diplomas, I opened High Maintenance Beauty Parlour in Donnybrook. I am now in business two years and while it was very hard to start a salon from scratch with hard work, dedication to clients and a huge belief in my performance as a beauty therapist I can now watch the appointment book fill up and smile to myself!
I believe if you have a great foundation, you can build anything you want on it. The Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School gave me a great foundation, I have built something on it and I wonder what you will build on yours? I would like to thank all at the Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School for their support and dedication throughout the year of my studies.

I qualified in 1983 and was thrilled to be asked to stay on and work in The Bronwyn Conroy Beauty Salon in Monkstown. I found the training excellent and the standard very high. I would always employ a Bronwyn Conroy trained girl in my own salons.
Having qualified as a Beauty Therapist I travelled the world for 11 years and never had a problem finding a job as a therapist: Three years working on cruise ships all over the world. One year working in Harrods, two of which I was head of beauty with a responsibility for 40 girls.
Two years working in Dubai setting up a Spa and then I was involved in the distribution of beauty products throughout the Gulf States. I have taken full advantage of the skills I have learnt in Bronwyn's School.
I love the industry and its endless possibilities of work.

After graduating from Trinity College Dublin with an honours degree in Business Studies, I worked in both Dublin and London as a marketing consultant. It was during this time that I thought seriously about a career change and was considering going back to Dublin to study beauty therapy. I've always had a vision of working in my own business and from an early age I had an interest in skincare and make-up. I also knew that if I was going to work for myself it would have to be in something that I had an interest in. After a few helpful and lengthy phone calls to Sherna at Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School, I finally made my decision to enrol. It was the best decision I ever had! The school has excellent qualified tutors and the classes are not too big which means you get lots of attention. I knew from the beginning I was in capable and good hands. I graduated in July 2005 and by October 2005 I had set up a Beauty Clinic with a friend of mine. We coupled our experiences and strengths and two years on we are running a successful beauty business. The Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School encourages students to gain as much experience as possible during the year at the school. In valuable support and advice are always at hand. I would thoroughly recommend this school to anybody interested in pursuing a career in beauty therapy. I also know that when comes to employ extra therapists for my clinic in the future I know the school will be in a position to recommend several reliable, trustworthy and talented students.

Shortly after graduating from Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School 20 years ago, I pursued my career as a make-up artist. During my training, Miss Conroy recognised my flair for creativity along my potential and mentored me throughout, offering advice, support and endless encouragement to become a make-up artist, after first becoming a beauty therapist! I learnt so much at the Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School, all of which I firmly believe helped me along the way. All the things I now consider essential to the work that I do. Total professionalism, setting and maintaining very high standards, knowledge of skin and skincare, treatment awareness and most importantly in my job, giving the client the best results possible. I'm proud to say I was a graduate of The Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School and of the career I have had, with the skills I taught. I'm also proud to say that Miss Conroy, Sherna and Bronwyn still keep in touch, showing an interest in what I'm working on at the moment and keeping up to date with new make-up trends, products and techniques. My portfolio now includes, being, in the past, personal make-up artist to names like Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Mary Robinson former President of Ireland, Pop Stars, Christina Aguilera, Boyzone and Westlife. Ad campaigns have included Guiness, Bailey's, Diet Coke, Brown Thomas and Aer Lingus. In the fashion industry I have created looks for designers Vivienne Westwood, Philip Tracey and Richard Lewis. As well as regularly working on fashion shoots for most leading magazines and Newspapers.

As a past pupil of The Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School I regarded my training as among the best on offer worldwide. Having worked on Cruise liners and managed the QE2 Beauty Salon, I then opened my own Salon 12 years ago.
I have seen first hand other Beauty therapists training and it has never matched the standard set at the Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School. Over the years I have employed a number of graduates from the School and they all excelled at their deportment, manner and beauty therapy skills. I would always welcome future graduates from The Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School.
