Bronwyn Conroy Beautician Diploma Course
ITEC Diploma Beauty Specialist & CIBTAC Facial Aesthetics

At Bronwyn Conroy International Beauty School in Dublin, our 3 month Part time Tuesday – Thursday 9.30 – 4.30 & Friday 9 – 1pm ITEC Diploma Beauty Specialist Course combined with the CIBTAC Aesthetics offers students the opportunity to train in less than 3 months to become a qualified Beautician. After that, options are limitless and the Beauty World is your Oyster with Bronwyn Conroy! Whether you want to start your own business, work from home or work in one of Ireland’s top salons, a Bronwyn Conroy Beauty Graduate is always highly sought after and in demand.

All students must work in our College Salon at least once per week, this will commence approx 4 weeks after your start date
Currently, at Bronwyn Conroy International Beauty School, we run a Salon on Wednesday and Thursday evening  17.30 hrs – 21.00 hrs

Upon completion of your 2 exams you may continue to work in our College Salon to gain experience , confidence and commercial hours, which will greatly enhance your career opportunities
This allows our students to gain work experience in the safety of the  Bronwyn Conroy College environment and ensure that you are  fully Salon prepared.

Aim of course

  • Upon completion of Bronwyn Conroy part-time Beautician Course, students are fully qualified and competent to work as a Beautician.
  • To ensure that participation in Bronwyn Conroy “College Salon” allows students to gain confidence, practice and work experience before leaving the College environment
  • To allow our students to work with the leading skincare brands and make up products including Dermalogica, Environ and Jane Iredale
  • To empower our students with the belief, confidence and support and guidance to work for themselves

Entry Requirements – (all students are required to attend a pre-course interview)

    • A person with excellent interpersonal skills, in particular, verbal communication, listening skills, empathy, patience, tact, diplomacy and time-keeping. A well-groomed appearance as well as a positive can-do approach.
    • As the leading Private Beauty School in Ireland, an interview is required for all candidates. This is a customer focused Industry therefore customer service and sales ability will always be required to ensure your success within the Industry.

Units/subjects to be studied
All units are mandatory and have final paper and practical exams.  Assessment methodology used is MCQ theory examinations, 50 questions on each of the 5 main areas. Total of 5 hours Theory exams and a full practical examination which is approx. 3  hours for both exams

Facial Electrical treatments including the CACCI commercial Salon Treatment

Applied Anatomy & Physiology of the head, face, neck, hands, feet, lower arm and lower leg

Students will:

        • Recognise skin types and disorders and take appropriate action in selecting or advising clients about treatments and aftercare. Perform safe, hygienic, effective treatments to a commercially acceptable standard and timing in the following areas:
        • Skin Care
        • Lash and brow treatments
        • Face, neck and shoulder massage
        • Face masks
        • Make-up techniques
        • Nail treatments
        • Waxing treatments
        • Adapt treatments to suit the individual client’s needs by analysing information gathered at consultation, including contra-indications
        • Select, use and advise clients about skin care products and make-up for the face and products for the hands and feet
        • Understand the basic key ingredients in cosmetic preparations
        • Be prepared for the ” real” salon environment following weeks of practice in our College Salon
        • Gain extra work experience hours at the end of our course by continuing to attend and learn in our College Salon
        • Our course does not end when the exam is complete, it ends when you have a job !
