The Bronwyn Conroy International Beauty School full-time CIDESCO/CIBTAC/ITEC Course in Dublin runs from September to June (10 months).  Bronwyn Conroy students begin Beauty Therapy training with the CIBTAC & ITEC Beautician module. The examination for this section of the course is pre-Christmas. Upon completion of these exams, students are already qualified Beauticians before the New Year even begins. This allows for actual work experience to start should the student wish. The Body Therapy and Electrical Epilation combined with the CIDESCO theory and Practical modules are started in the New Year with the CIBTAC exams in April. There is then a 6-week focus on CIDESCO Practical  as well as the extra Cosmetic Science subjects required. These examinations are held in June. Students must have reached the required standard in all three CIBTAC examinations and satisfy the school’s criteria on suitability before being eligible to undertake the CIDESCO examinations.

The ITEC module requires case studies for all subjects as well as a theory paper for each subject. This is completed in 1 day and is a full day of theory exams. The ITEC exam is a 3 hour practical exam completed about a week after the theory exam.
CIBTAC requires the completion of logs and practical work to be recorded. The CIBTAC practical and theory exams are completed on the same day – Theory 1 1/2 hours and a 3 1/2 hour Practical.  The CIDESCO module of the course incorporates a facial and body practical exam which lasts a full day,  plus a  written examination. Students must also produce a thesis and demonstrate an additional subject. ITEC and CIBTAC provide results about 6 weeks after the exam process. CIDESCO pass or fail on the same day.

Project  CIDESCO
Since 2017, CIDESCO have introduced Project work to replace the specialised subject. The project must
be a subject chosen by the student based on a topic in which they are interested.  Research plus 12  “case studies” and 4 treatments on three different clients form part of this overall project. The project is completed with a project report (between 2500 and 4000 words) on the findings of the various treatments.

To obtain a final CIDESCO Diploma students must work for 600 hours. At Bronwyn Conroy International Beauty School, we offer all our Beauty Therapy Course students the opportunity to return to our school following the CIDESCO exam and work part-time in our College Salon. This forms part of the required hours and is a wonderful opportunity to practice and gain valuable work experience in the prestigious surrounds of Bronwyn Conroy International Beauty School in Dublin.
